Kottonmouth Kings is an American rap rock group from Placentia, Orange County, California. The band officially formed in 1994, describing their eclectic sound as "psychedelic hip-hop punk rock". Kottonmouth Kings are composed of Daddy X (singer of Humble Gods, X Pistols, former singer of Doggy Style), Lou Dog (drummer of Humble Gods and former drummer of Doggy Style), D-Loc, DJ Bobby B, and newest member/ vocalist, The Dirtball.〔 The group first attracted attention with the song "Suburban Life", which appeared on the soundtrack to the film ''Scream 2'' (With former member Saint Dog). Kottonmouth Kings released their debut album, ''Royal Highness'', on Capitol Records in the summer of 1998. They began to gain mainstream success with the release of their quintessential album, ''High Society'' in 2000, and toured with D12/Primer 55 and Bionic Jive during the fall of 2001 in support of their fourth studio album, ''Hidden Stash II: The Kream of the'' ''Krop''.〔 In 2006, Kottonmouth Kings headlined at the annual Cannabis Cup, and was named "Band of the Year" by ''High Times''.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Biography )〕 Due to a feud between Brad Xavier and the founder of SRH and Suburban Noize Records, Kevin Zinger, Kottonmouth Kings ultimately severed ties with the label in 2013. Later that same year, it was announced that Daddy X and KMK had formed a new label, "United Family Trust". Johnny Richter embarked on a new chapter of his life in October 2013, when he made the decision to leave Kottonmouth Kings due to personal reasons. However, he is still currently signed with Subnoize Records as a solo artist. On April 20, 2014, the current KMK lineup (Daddy X, D-Loc, and The Dirtball) released their first post-Richter album, ''The Buddah Shack EP.'' In September 2014, It was announced on the band's Twitter and Facebook pages their new album, ''Krown Power'', was in the final stages of being mixed and was set to be released in early 2015. On December 31, 2014, Kottonmouth Kings officially announced via their Twitter account that the album, the first LP release on United Family Music, would be dropping on April 21, 2015. In early April 2015, KMK announced that the new tentative release date for ''Krown Power'' was set for June 2015, and that the album will be available for pre-order on April 20, 2015. A single and the accompanying video would be released each month leading up to the release of the album; the debut single/music video was "Ganja Glow".
